Crown data released by hospital director in Győr: 16 percent of treated patients died

Since September 1, 2,550 coronavirus patients have been treated at Győr hospital, which currently treats an average of 160-180 corona patients per day. They are now infected in 103 intensive care units, 19 of them ventilated by machine, said János László Tamás, general director of Győr hospital, in the Covid-19 newsletter posted on Facebook by the local mayor. More than 9,500 patients have been treated on an outpatient basis since September (corresponding to emergency traffic in a large city). One of its professional leaders was an ophthalmologist, who is proud to have been able to carry it out, the CEO said. Of these, 2,550 patients were admitted as hospital covidiosis.

There have been tough weeks in which more than 300 coronavirus patients from five counties have been cared for, but on average there are 160-200 patients hospitalized in 3-4 weeks – they are safe, the class is not overloaded.

Sixteen percent of the 2,550 admitted patients died and also suffered from other serious illnesses, according to the CEO. 54 percent of the patients in the intensive care unit were rescued, said the chief physician, who also noted that patients who had recovered had not yet fully recovered, as complications and patients needed to be rehabilitated.

The CEO encouraged everyone to request the vaccine.

All healthcare workers in the county are expected to be vaccinated against the coronavirus at Győr hospital from the end of December, and then the civilian population will be vaccinated from the end of January.
