The Russian vaccine will first be administered to 3,000 volunteers, after which it can be approved by Hungarian authorities, ATV News reported.

According to the rules of clinical research, the Russian vaccine, which arrived in Hungary on Monday, will be administered to 3,000 volunteers for the first time, and if they do not experience serious side effects during the test, the Hungarian authorities may allow the widespread use of Sputnik V, writes atv.hu.

Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó announced on Monday that 6,000 ampoules of the vaccine against the coronavirus Sputnik V had arrived in Hungary. The shipment was escorted by the police to the National Center for Public Health, where, as the Minister said, Hungarian professionals have another opportunity to make a decision about how to use the vaccine. In Russia, which involves 40,000 people, they have already passed clinical tests, resulting in an efficiency of 91.4 percent.

On Tuesday, ATV News contacted the Ministry of Human Resources to find out what the government’s plan is with the shipment of the Russian vaccine, and if a vaccine is licensed in Hungary, it also means that vaccination can be started or wait approval in the European Union. ?

According to Emmi, the Russian vaccination continues scientific cooperation that offers the opportunity for the Hungarian authorities to investigate another vaccine. The National Institute of Pharmacy and Food Safety (OGYÉI) can authorize the use of any vaccine in Hungary, authorization from the European Medicines Agency (EMA) is not required.

Will you get vaccinated in months?

Miklós Rusvai, a viral researcher, told RTL Híradó that the standard time is 3 to 3.5 months to complete the third phase, that is, clinical trials in humans, and to carry out the licensing process.
