The new coronavirus infection (COVID-19) was detected in 5,203 new Hungarian citizens, thus increasing the number of infected people identified in Hungary to 152,659. Most of the 91 deaths were elderly, chronic patients, so the number of deaths increased to 3,281 and 34,185 have already recovered. The number of actively infected people was 115,193. 23% of the actively infected, 26% of the dead and 26% of those recovered are from Budapest. 7,477 coronavirus patients are hospitalized, 576 of whom are connected to ventilators, according to the official daily report.
With today’s data, the number of new illnesses has been consistently above 4,000 for days, and we’ve even seen more than 5,000 in the last two days.
At the moment, there is no change in the number of people treated at the hospital, the number is constantly increasing. The number of people on the respirator dropped by six in the last day, due to 91 deaths, less likely to be re-ventilated than the number of people who died or were removed from it.
