Another 1,070 Hungarian citizens were diagnosed with the coronavirus infection in the last 24 hours, which is a new daily peak, the number has risen to more than 1,000 for the first time. At the same time, a total of 17,990 coronaviruses have been recorded in Hungary since March.
The number of active cases also increased by more than 1,000 this morning, with 12,916 active cases currently registered in Hungary. Since the start of the epidemic, 4,391 of the nearly 18,000 cases have been declared cured.
In the last day, 8 deaths can be linked to the coronavirus in Hungary, so the number of deaths has risen to 683. The youngest victim was a 53-year-old woman and the oldest was an 83-year-old man.
There are currently 404 hospitalized coronavirus patients, 32 of whom are in such serious condition that they require a ventilator. The number of people treated in the hospital has increased by 18 since yesterday, and there are two more patients with a ventilator.
