1,086 new coronavirus infections have been identified in Hungary in the past 24 hours, a higher number was seen in just one day during the epidemic, yesterday.
The death toll was also high, with another 14 deaths reported today after 17 deaths, the peak set yesterday.
At the same time, the number of patients needing hospital care and on a ventilator has decreased in recent days, but in addition to those recovering from the disease, the fact that 31 people died in two days is also likely to play a role.
36% of the actively infected, 52% of the dead and 35% of those recovered are from Budapest.
