The virus, called SARS-CoV-2, has claimed the lives of 24,543 people so far, with the infection defeated at 112,050, of which 3,103 have been declared healthy in the past day. The number of registered infections is 213,435 and the number of newly identified cases per day is 1,309, according to a report by the Ministry, which is based on the results of the so-called PCR tests, which have been considered the most reliable for days, and does not include positive cases confirmed by other testing methods.

Most of the daily infections were examined in the Autonomous Community of Madrid, 406, bringing the number of registered cases in the region to 61,171. Of the Spanish provinces in the Iberian Peninsula, the least number of new cases, 1,486, are found in Murcia, in southern Spain, of which 6 were reported in one day. In the last 14 days, it had the lowest infection rate with 4.22 percent per 100,000 inhabitants. No new cases of coronavirus have been recorded for days in the two Spanish exclaves in North Africa, Ceuta and Melilla.

Spanish Health Minister Salvador Illa announced at a regular weekly parliamentary committee hearing since the outbreak began: Spain is ready to produce 10 million health protection kits per month. The government has distributed a total of 115 million of these autonomous communities through foreign acquisitions since March 10, of which 60 million were mouth masks and 27 million rubber gloves. 2.8 million rapid tests were distributed, the minister said.

As he said, 21 investigations into the new coronavirus have already started in the country with a grant of 6.3 million euros (2.2 billion forints), two of which are related to the production of vaccines.

“The state of emergency introduced has worked,” the head of the ministry said at a press conference early in the evening, noting that the number of infected people increased by 35 percent a day at the start of the epidemic, compared to the 0.6 percent current. Salvador Illa announced:

As of Saturday, everyone is allowed to walk and play outdoor sports, after six and a half weeks they can only stay on the streets to work, shop, walk dogs.

The children were allowed to leave their homes for one hour a day for four days. The Ministry of Health has established time slots for each age group, according to which the age group between the ages of 14 and 70, between 10 and 12 and between 19 and 20 hours between the ages of 70 and adults who need help can stay between 6 am and 10 a.m. and between 8 p.m. and 11 p.m. Outdoors Children received a period of 12 to 7 p.m.

The condition for outdoor sports is to be able to be done individually and stay within the city, while in the case of walks you can get away from the residence for a kilometer. Time zones are not introduced in settlements with a population of less than 5,000 inhabitants, which affects 12 percent of the country’s 46.9 million inhabitants, Ilvad Salvador added.

In several cities, public roads are becoming pedestrian streets over the weekend so that people can more easily maintain the required distance of one and a half to two meters and not clump together. The measure affects more than a dozen streets in Zaragoza and more than 40 in Barcelona.

About half of the public parks, a total of 70, will open in the Catalan capital. In Madrid, on the other hand, the city administration will keep the parks closed as a precaution until at least next weekend.

The Spanish government adopted on Tuesday a plan to reduce precautionary measures, according to which the restrictions will be lifted in four phases, each lasting at least two weeks, scheduled for the end of June. A new extension of the state of emergency is also expected, which has been in effect from March 15 to May 24.
