Johnson said on Sunday’s political magazine show on BBC Public Service Television that he believes science will make a real difference in the weeks and months ahead, whether it’s in vaccine development or coronavirus detection technology.

He added that it is possible, although not 100 percent certain, that significant progress will be made this year in the development of a new type of vaccine against the coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2).

The British prime minister confirmed that government scientific advisers are virtually unanimous in saying that by spring, of course, “things will change radically and we will live in a different world from now on.”
