The British government will remove Hungary and Portugal from the list of countries exempt from quarantine from Saturday, writes the MTI.
According to an announcement by the British Department of Transport in London on Thursday night, those arriving in England from Hungary and Portugal after Saturday at 4 a.m. (5 a.m. CET) must spend two weeks in solitary confinement.
In July, the British government drew up a list of countries from which it is possible to enter England without obligation to quarantine. This list was open to countries that London considered a low risk of coronavirus infection.
The list of exemptions originally included 59 such countries, including Hungary, but the British government has since removed several countries from this list, most recently the Czech Republic and Switzerland.
