There have been no cases of 718 new coronavirus cases detected in a single day since the outbreak began.

Although the number of new infections is increasing rapidly, the increase in deaths is not, at least for now, followed by an increase in infection rates. As we have written about it several times, unlike the first wave, the virus is now spreading in the younger age group, but there is a high risk that if it is removed, it will not spare the older age group either. An elderly chronic patient who died in the last 24 hours has died, bringing the death toll to 631.

The number of active infections has increased rapidly since the end of August, with 6,264 active infections now officially counted.

The map showing the breakdown by county shows that most of the infected people have so far been diagnosed mainly in and around Budapest. 43% of the actively infected, 59% of the dead and 42% of those recovered are from Budapest.

In the last week, 1,473 cases were registered in Budapest and 514 in Pest county, apparently the epidemic broke out in the capital.

More details coming soon.
