Another chain of stores responded to the new epidemiological rules.

Coronavirus: the second wave, the second closure

Later than expected by many, but in mid-November, the Hungarian government also decided to try to curb the second wave of the coronavirus epidemic by introducing restrictions. At the time of the decision, 5,000 new infections a day had been identified and the number of deaths from the virus was mostly between 50 and 100 in 24 hours. The first step is partial closure, but how effective it is is questionable. Follow our news!

The Auchan stores’ opening hours will change in accordance with regulations that take effect on Wednesday, the store chain said. As they write:

Stores will be open evenly Monday through Sunday from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.

This means more stores open earlier than before, but closures are progressing everywhere.

Auchan’s gas stations will be open evenly until 8pm and the automated well posts will continue to operate 24 hours. Home delivery works without changes, but it is only possible to pick up the products ordered on the spot in the store until 7 pm

IKEA has already responded to the new government decree on epidemiological restrictions and its stores in Hungary will be open until 7pm. Previously, Lidl and Aldi, followed by Spar, also announced how they will change their opening hours as a result of the new government decree, which also includes a curfew.

The new regulation affects a quarter of stores in Hungary.
