Gained a 16 percentage point advantage Joe biden Democratic presidential candidate Donald Trumppal in the fight for the White House, according to a recent CNN poll. The poll was conducted entirely after the first candidate debate, with no outrageous elements, and largely after Trump became coronavirus. The investigation asked who plan to vote on November 3.
Fifty-seven percent of those surveyed by CNN said that Barack Obama Former Vice President Bident supports him and 41 percent say he is Trump. Voters also believe that Joe Biden can handle it better than the current president on several important issues, such as the coronavirus epidemic, health care, racial inequality in the US, Supreme court nominations, enforcement of the law and security.
The perception of Biden has also improved from the past: 52 percent of those surveyed now say they have a positive impression of the former vice president, and only 39 percent say Trump. Democratic politicians also increased their lead among women: 57 percent backed it in September and 66 percent in early October. CNN said a significant part of the lead came from white graduates and women of color, but Biden also became more popular with young, moderate and independent men.
CNN notes, however, that Biden’s rise in popularity has not caused a major downfall for Trump – the president’s supporters continue to hold onto him, and even increased their support among untitled 61-year-old white men. Nor should it be overlooked that Biden has a below-average advantage in so-called battlefield states.
