At a press conference in the operational tribe on Friday Kristóf Gál An ORFK spokesperson said there was a nationwide emergency since Wednesday and a curfew from midnight to 5 a.m. Action was taken in 19 cases for violating the curfew on Thursday night. As of now, the Police found in 95 businesses that they violated the mask use rule, for which they imposed 63 fines (average 22 thousand florins), while 28 people were reported.
Gál reported in detail on a case in which the police forcibly removed a 41-year-old man from the trolley bus, who still inadvertently donned a mask after repeated calls, and prosecuted him.
Müller Cecília He began his presentation with the latest data:
- The new coronavirus infection was detected in 4709 new Hungarian citizens, thus increasing the number of infected people in Hungary to 99,625.
- For the first time since the outbreak, the number of deaths in 24 hours has crossed a hundred: 103 patients, mostly elderly and chronic, have died, bringing the number of deaths to 2,250.
The medical director said that the proportion of deaths among those who have not been diagnosed with a chronic disease is about 5 to 7 percent. He stressed that there are enough beds in Hungary, but there is still a lot of pressure on health workers.
The goal is to flatten the epidemic curve. To do this, we need to reduce the number of contacts
– He said.
In terms of infection per capita, we are in the lower third of Europe, he said, although more are tested in more infected countries than in Hungary, but Müller no longer emphasized this, who also emphasized that we are in the middle of deaths.
He said that on the flu vaccine, a shipment of adult vaccines will be distributed next week, but there will also be supplies for children.
We can expect infections to increase, so we must reschedule elective care. These are ordered today to be done later.
Müller stated:
You must also be prepared for the worst case scenario. Therefore, we are expanding the capabilities suitable for supply.
However, the postponement does not affect benefits or urgent benefits (oncological, cardiovascular) due to the delay, which are performed in the same way as before.
Asked by the journalist Cecília Müller, the infection rate among health workers since the beginning of the epidemic is particularly positive, at 3.3 percent, while the WHO estimates it at 10 to 15 percent.
