Cecília Müller: There are young, otherwise healthy people with a fan in Hungary

According to Müller, the defense is a bit more difficult during the second wave because we are already talking about community spread, which means that patients can appear anywhere. The health system is ready, he said. Hospital bed occupancy is 53%, so 47% is empty. There is a planned defense, that is, the patient’s paths are precisely designated. There are the first three hospitals in Budapest: South-Pest Central Hospital, Korányi and Szent János Hospitals are designated to care for seriously ill patients. Hospitals are also designated outside of Budapest and enter care in a second or third phase as needed.

The goal is to provide coronavirus patients with the right time, in the right place, and for the patient to receive the best possible care. The goal is to concentrate patients in one place so as not to infect the hospital and to keep hospitals clean.

So don’t be surprised if someone misses the regular hospital, as coronavirus patients are cared for in designated institutions.

Cecília Müller closed the press conference.
