Cecília Müller: Hungary also closes its doors to the British

We are the first to provide vaccines to healthcare workers. The arrival of the vaccine will open a new stage in defense.

Cecília Müller said she would like healthcare workers to take advantage of this opportunity, as an effective and safe vaccine will now be available. There will be an application brochure that will provide detailed information for the vaccinating physician, as well as for those who want to be vaccinated. This will include cases where the vaccine is contraindicated.

Vaccination will begin at South Pest Central Hospital, after which there will be vaccination sites at another 25 locations. Although vaccines require special storage, all material solutions are available.

The first dose kit will be enough to vaccinate 5,000 people, and after 3 weeks the vaccination will have to be repeated for full immunity to develop.

We are still waiting for a new dose this year, and once the needs of healthcare workers have been met, they will be available to social workers, caregivers and others with other chronic illnesses.

All those who are involved in the treatment of the epidemic and who are at high risk due to their disease are lined up. There is no vaccine that provides 100% protection, as the efficacy of the vaccine is highly dependent on the individual response.

The more people we vaccinate, the more protection not only the vaccinated person will enjoy, but also their environment, because we know that a 60 percent vaccine will significantly slow down the epidemic.

Protection develops approximately 1 week after the second vaccination, but epidemiological measures must be maintained.

“We see that we have been defending for a long time and, according to the government’s decision, the curfew will be suspended for one night, but tonight we must not be released.” Cecília Müller said.
