A website has been launched to indicate the need for a coronavirus vaccine, a needs assessment to estimate how many people would like to take advantage of the virus.

The national medical director said at Tuesday’s briefing of operational staff.

Müller Cecília He stressed that vaccinations can be started in Hungary if there is a vaccine approved by the Hungarian authorities, currently there is no such vaccine in Hungary.

As he said, the government is seizing every opportunity, negotiating every opportunity that is promising

We have already immobilized 17.5 million doses of vaccines in various manufacturers. We are also testing the Russian vaccine, the vaccine itself and its documentation. Documentation for a Chinese vaccine will be received soon, which licensing authorities and virologists will begin to review. It is not possible to say which vaccine will be used to start vaccines.

He explained.

According to Cecília Müller, Hungarians trust both the Hungarian pharmaceutical authorities and vaccines.

As said, we can expect a massive vaccination in the first quarter of next year.

The vaccination will not be carried out according to the registry but according to the vaccination plan. There is no obligation to register if someone now thinks they want protection, but later changes their mind, their decision will be respected.

In response to a question from a journalist, he said that the vaccine that will be approved by the authorities and from which it will be available will not be available for choice. He did not say what happens if the specialists will accept the vaccines during the tests, on what basis they will be ordered and if, for example, two or more vaccines will be delivered to Hungary, who will receive them.

After presenting the daily data, he spoke of the fact that the number of people hospitalized and ventilated is not decreasing either, so it is necessary to maintain austerity measures.

16.7 percent of new infections diagnosed in the past week are older than 65, but the highest proportion of new patients is 23 percent aged 40 to 49. There were the most new cases in Budapest, the least in Nógrád, while the number of new infections increased by 10-10 percent in Somogy and Tolna counties compared to the previous week.

A press conference in the operating court said that since the measures were introduced in mid-November, 90 stores have been closed for non-compliance.
