Some providers are experiencing disruptions in online credit card payments over the Internet, the bank said. In addition to a problem with partial merchant involvement, a system error currently preventing the use of K&H bank cards online, the bank is working to correct the error and apologize for the inconvenience.

What’s in the background?

The rules for domestic purchases with a debit or credit card in the country and abroad will change as of December 31, 2020 in accordance with the payment legislation (PSD2). This regulation requires serious changes in the infrastructure of bank card payments on the Internet by card-issuing banks, banks that accept cards and merchants: K&H justified the mistake.

The transition to the new process took place before the deadline for some providers, while it is still ongoing for other providers. As a result, some payment transactions may encounter an error. We are working with banks that accept cards and the Mastercard card company to resolve the problem, the bank said.
