Car owners will face significant additional costs next year

The RTL Klub Híradó reports that compulsory car insurance will become more expensive again. This was inferred from the offers sent to the owners.

The price increase could be 20-25 percent, which is in line with the trend that has been going on for years. All of this is happening even though the central bank wanted to achieve a reduction in commissions. Insurers are referring to the increase in service charges and parts prices again this year.

Meanwhile Kázács Kázmér, the chairman of the Hungarian Automobile Club Interest and Legal Protection Committee, said in a statement sent to the MTI on Monday that it was unacceptable that some insurers would consider it justified to increase automobile liability insurance by 20% next year. The expert points out that the rate increase is justified in some respects, but the calculation cannot ignore the fact that car traffic has significantly decreased, as indicated by changes in fuel prices.

The Communication recalls that the published rates only apply to vehicle operators older than ten years. For the others, the determination of rates has not been completed, so the automobile club would consider it necessary to enforce the aspects you mention.
