Inflation has risen sharply despite falling fuel prices.

Inflation rose to 3.9 percent in August, the Central Bureau of Statistics said. This is the highest figure since March.

Inflation is high despite the fact that the price of gasoline has been falling below the average for months, this time with fuel prices falling 4.7 percent. We saw the same thing in July – the figure at the time was almost as high at 3.8 percent.

Over the past year, food prices increased 7.9 percent. Even
