Although the UK’s largest video game retail chains have already closed their stores, growth in game sales in recent weeks has not yet stopped. Although total sales have only risen 2 percent from the previous week, it also means found boxes for many owners – they’ve bought a million games since the British started restricting access. Another driver of growth has been the availability of Nintendo Switch consoles (albeit for a short time), which can also be seen in the games on the top list.
Last week, the game with the highest number of copies sold was a remake of Final Fantasy VII, taking the lead on the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare leaderboard for a long time, although Square Enix also had trouble carrying Box copies to your destination on time. . Resident Evil 3 remake sales fell 78 percent, but they were still seventh on the list.
Of the switch titles, the new Animal Crossing still takes its place for sure, but Mario Kart 8 also reappeared in the top 5, jumping twenty places forward. The rest of the list is still shared by previous titles, with The Last of Us: Remastered rising to tenth place.
