The second Formula One race in Russia ended on lap seven with a major accident. After the collision between fifth-place fighter Luca Ghiotto and Jack Aitken, his old car almost completely burned down and the track protection was so damaged that it would not have been possible to repair and finish the sprint until the F1 race.
