The 33-year-old forward and his family flew home to Argentina on a private plane on Wednesday to spend Christmas in his hometown of Rosario. According to the original plans, the soccer star would have returned to the Catalans on Sunday to resume training on Monday, but Barça agreed to join the team only after Tuesday’s League against Eibar. So the next game for the team captain is next Sunday at the home of the army pilot Huesca.
According to the official justification of the Catalan club, Messi is struggling with minor ankle injuries anyway, so skip the match against Eibar.

Barcelona won this Tuesday 3-0 as a guest of Real Valladolid, with Messi’s third goal, which broke the record for goals scored in the colors of the legendary Pele’s unique club. The Argentine scored the 644th with the Barcelona shirt.
