In his morning radio interview, Viktor Orbán spoke about the need to stop vaccinating for a short time, but did not talk about missing the entire campaign.

Coronavirus – the second year

It has been more than a year since the Chinese authorities informed the WHO of the emergence of a new, rapidly spreading virus. Since then, there has hardly been a person in the world who has not heard the term Covid-19, and more and more people are mourning a family member or friend with whom the new disease ended as stocks collapsed in weeks and our entire lives. they were rewritten. by the epidemic. By now, the vaccines have been completed, which in turn raises not only hope, but again many questions, while not only stopping the virus, but also threatening another mutation. You can find the details of this fight in our article series.

This morning a strange phrase appeared in the Facebook post on the government’s coronavirus information page. It was briefly seen in the text that “the massive vaccination campaign announced for this weekend will be delayed due to technical errors.” The news was published on Facebook along with the daily data, but a few minutes after its publication, this part of the text that originally looked like this disappeared:

Commenters also noted the bug, with several people asking on Facebook what would happen to the promised vaccines, which were notified to those affected by SMS. A mass vaccination with Oxford’s AstraZeneca vaccines is planned for the weekend, with more than 70,000 chronic patients vaccinated in two days.

This message is currently visible:

So it is still unclear if it will be saved at all: in his morning radio interview, Viktor Orbán actually said that the organization of vaccinations was stopped for a short time due to data handling problems (those who were already vaccinated and others were assigned a vaccination point far from their place of residence), but the prime minister did not say that this would delay the weekend’s action.

It is true that it can also be revealing that while the government and operational personnel have been talking about the weekend’s vaccination campaign for days (Cecília Müller even gave advice on how to dress those involved), Orbán did not talk about it at all in his briefing.

We have also put our questions to the operational staff as soon as they are answered, we will update our article.
