The airline may also use Kecskemét airport in the future.

Wizz Air has signed a strategic agreement with the Hungarian Armed Forces Command and the Ministry of Defense (HM), the airline announced.

Under the cooperation agreement, the pilots and cabin crew of the Airbus A320 aircraft of the Hungarian Air Force will now receive training at the airline’s headquarters in Budapest, using the same program with which the company trains its personnel. Wizz Air will also provide its world-class training center in Budapest for additional training, equipped with two Airbus A320 CAE 7000XR mobile simulators.

Under the agreement, Wizz Air and the Hungarian Armed Forces also cooperate in the use of Kecskemét and other airports operated by the Armed Forces.

According to the announcement, Wizz Air will be able to further optimize its domestic operations, as previously it had been necessary to direct some flights to the airports of the surrounding countries instead of Budapest or Debrecen due to external weather conditions, for example inadequate.
