The Dialogue Co-Chair twice asked the Prime Minister if he was aware of József Szájer’s affairs, but never received a reply.

Like several opposition deputies, the dialogue Tímea Szabó began her immediate questions to Viktor Orbán with the case of József Szájer. Szabó stressed that Szájer had resigned from his mandate as MEP two days before the outbreak of the sex scandal.

Tell us honestly: did you know that József Szájer did not live according to the Basic Law and Christian-conservative values for 40 years, or did you not? Or did the Prime Minister find out after the scandal?

Szabó asked.

Orbán said he was surprised to find that, although she was a lady, she had a fellow deputy who had no idea about the Hungarian constitution. “He does not tell any citizen of Hungary how to live. The constitution does not provide for this. I would like to remind you that Hungary is a state that is governed by the rule of law, everyone can decide what they think is good and they have assumed the consequences. Here we are before this, here it has happened: what does not fit does not fit ”.

In his reply, Szabó first mentioned how strange this phrase by Fidesz was, constantly poking around in other people’s bedrooms, and then again asking Orban if he was aware of Szájer’s affairs and listing what the government had failed until now. In view of this, he brought a large certificate, which he wanted to present to Orban. He arrived at the table, but Orbán did not occupy it, so he left it, but since he did not refuse to deliver the certificate on several occasions, the president who presided over the meeting was on the verge of punishment.

Orbán said of all this: “Now that I was listening to you, the question seemed to have failed, of which I found neither the beginning nor the end. One thing I can say is that not only do they not know the constitution, but they also know that the law that Tibor Draskovics passed in 2008 applies to gay people. We can and do have opinions on different lifestyles, but in Hungary each minority can exercise its constitutional right, ”he said.

Szabó placed this certificate on Orbán’s desk:
