There was also no heating or hot water in the recently opened ward where coronavirus patients are cared for. According to a family of hospitalized patients, there are no bedding, the hospital disputed.

In Szombathely, the newly opened COVID department of the Markusovszky Hospital has been without hot water or heating for days, writes Western.hu about the information received at the beginning of the week.

“There hasn’t been hot water in the hospital’s COVID room for days, and now there’s no heat. Mom is inside now, and it’s frustrating now.” According to the entry, this room was opened late last week on the second floor of pulmonary medicine. “We have tried to get help everywhere, but the hospital only changes the phone from one place to another,” the relative complained.

The hospital says the problem has been fixed. “Our hospital took immediate action due to a technical problem in the COVID department, we immediately asked the external service provider to rectify the error. On November 16, 2020 the repair was carried out, since then there have been no technical problems, ”writes dr. Medical director Zoltán Káldy.

“In the wards, all patients have bedding, including a pillow. There has been no shortage of care or complaints in the recent past, ”he added.
