Around noon, the earth shook weakly in various districts of Budapest and in various parts of the country. You can usually feel the chair shake a little, the chandelier, the Christmas tree, the glass, and the water in the glass moving. It is not yet known how strong the earthquake may have been at home, there is no information yet on the website of the Institute of Seismology (the site is often not available) and the phone will not be answered.

One of our colleagues experienced an earthquake in Kelenföld, on the seventh floor of a panel. He wrote,

We came out very scary here, I saw through the window that we were pacing back and forth, the sofa was slipping strangely under me, I had already opened the front door so I could run down if I had to.

Our other colleague from VIII. he also heard grunting in the district.

Meanwhile, our readers and colleagues indicate that the movement of the earth was also felt in Siófok, Kaposvár, Pécs, Bivelányos, Pápa, Kalocsa, Harc and Kiskunhalas, it was stronger in Siófok, Pécs and Kaposvár.

This video about Kiskunhalas was posted by our reader:

This was done in the 18th. district we receive:

One of our readers was very excited, he wrote

I never felt like this, it was amazing! Couch growling under me, nauseous, stomach shaking. I have longed to experience it once since I was a child.

Dániel Mukics, spokesman for the National Directorate General for Disaster Management, told hvg.hu that the 6.3 earthquake in Croatia could be felt at home, the epicenter of which was 42 km from Zagreb.

The seismological institute can tell you how strong the earthquake may have been at home, but it cannot be reached yet.

Mukics added that Hungary is not one of the countries at risk of earthquakes, which does not mean that an earthquake cannot happen, but that they are “fortunately weak”. He cautioned that tremors cannot be predicted, conclusions can only be drawn from the events that occurred.

If there is a strong earthquake, you should hide under a table or bed because objects that are not secured could fall. Mukics also spoke of not escaping in such a case, because it could be an accident.
