Previously, the Hungarian Medical Chamber also distanced itself from Alfréd Pócs.

Coronavirus: the second wave

Half a year after the spring outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, the second wave of the pandemic has arrived. The radical increase in the number of infected is forcing more and more countries to re-impose restrictions, despite the fact that the world economy has not even recovered from the effects of the spring outbreak. According to the signs, the second wave also reached Hungary. Follow our news!

Dr. Bugát from Gyöngyös was fired from Pál Hospital by dr. Alfréd Pócs, an orthopedic specialist, from whom the Hungarian Medical Chamber (MOK) distanced itself in September due to allegations of denial of the coronavirus. The fact of the dismissal was confirmed by Pócs 24.hu-nak.

Alfred Pócs was invited by the hospital director on October 6 and later dismissed for his virally skeptical views. The person now has a one-month notice period, but still works at the Salgótarján and Ózd hospitals.

Pócs, who is also the president of the medical chamber in Heves County, said about the portal’s question:

It is not antiviral, but sees the coronavirus as a disadvantage in the care of uninfected patients.

The orthopedic doctor is also representative of the local government, earned more than 5 percent last year and was included in the general assembly of a compensation list. Alfréd Pócs has repeatedly expressed his viral skepticism as one of the leaders of the Association of Physicians for Clairvoyance, and in his video uploaded to YouTube, he argued against wearing a mask. It was an association of Pócs, who organized an anti-5G demonstration in Eger this summer, because they believe that 5G mobile towers can have “amazing physiological effects”. However, this is not proven by any scientific study.
