The closure was ordered as part of a routine procedure.

The University of Szeged ordered a short-term admission to the Department of Cardiac Surgery of the Department of Cardiac Surgery and Heart Center of the Albert Szent-Györgyi Clinical Center due to the emergence of a coronavirus, the University of Szeged said in a statement. As they write, the closure was initiated according to routine procedures, however, they emphasize that care is already provided for patients already treated at the clinic, but new cardiac surgery patients are not admitted.

The National Center for Public Health has designated another four centers to receive new patients until positive tests or contact physicians return. SZTE welcomes a new patient when all are negative on repeat evaluations (workers and inpatients). Then the release is requested. The expected date for this is early to mid next week.
