According to the hospital, misleading and grumpy writing about ventilator problems appeared in the press.

Coronavirus: the second wave, the second closure

Later than expected by many, but in mid-November, the Hungarian government also decided to try to curb the second wave of the coronavirus epidemic by introducing restrictions. At the time of the decision, 5,000 new infections had been identified per day and the number of deaths from the virus was mostly between 50 and 100 in 24 hours. The first step is a partial closure, but how effective it is is questionable. Follow our news!

Several ventilators at St. Raphael Hospital in Zala County also reported failures, Népszava reported. The document was confirmed by two hospital employees, but they couldn’t say how many devices in total could have failed.

Népszava went to the hospital with questions about this, who referred them to the operative tribe, but received no response. The government information center was also searched to no avail.

Only Chinese machinery manufacturer Northern Meditec Ltd. responded, they admitted that there were indications of failures, investigating the cause.

After the publication of the Népszava article, László Vigh, the Fidesz Member of Parliament for the region, told Zaol.hu that there are currently 99 ventilators available in the hospital, 33 of which are being installed and put into operation according to with the prescribed protocol. According to the MP, this means that the hospital currently has 66 devices that work well, but at the same time, 12 people in St. Raphael must be equipped with a ventilator.

Finally, the hospital also spoke up, writing that misleading and grumpy articles about the case had appeared in the press. “Such a state-of-the-art ventilator sends a message when the slightest malfunction occurs. This is also due to the fact that the staff immediately transferred the patients to another machine. As a result, no harm to health or death occurred. “.

Not only Hungarian suppliers, but also foreign ones, sold the same type of fans to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (KKM) at various prices, according to the document package hvg.hu received from KKM. This is not only common in acquisitions, but it is also equally opaque. There are companies where the Ministry of the Environment has spent almost 180 billion HUF, but it is not yet known exactly when and the ministry has sent illegible annexes to some of the contracts of various companies.
