According to the prime minister, by now everyone could understand that stopping the epidemic depended on the use of a mask.

Coronavirus: the second wave

Half a year after the spring outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, the second wave of the pandemic has arrived. The radical increase in the number of infected is forcing more and more countries to re-impose restrictions, despite the fact that the world economy has not even recovered from the effects of the spring outbreak. According to the signs, the second wave also reached Hungary. Follow our news!

Operational staff also met on Friday, with Prime Minister Viktor Orbán reporting in a separate video. The head of government said:

The infection is on the rise throughout Europe, we walk “at the height of Austria”.

According to Orbán, 2209 patients are treated in 42 hospitals, but medical attention remains in the mud. This, he says, is due to the fact that our doctors and nurses are also performing excellently by European standards. “I also thank you,” added the prime minister.

The prime minister also spoke about the revision of the rules for wearing a mask. “We gave enough grace time, everyone could understand that he was depending on the mask to end the epidemic.”

That is why Sándor Pintér has already ordered the Minister of the Interior to “enforce current legislation and generalize the use of the mask” (on Thursday the rules for wearing the mask were tightened).

The Prime Minister pointed out that a free flu vaccine is now available to general practitioners and that it will also be administered free of charge to children under three years of age.

Regarding the coronavirus vaccine, he said that we are involved in all European procurement programs, but instructed the operating strain to “be informed at the same time about the conditions for the production and acquisition of Russian and Chinese vaccines.”
