The Hungarian prime minister requested a report on the effects of the earthquake in Hungary and the possible damage.

Prime Minister Viktor Orbán offered Hungary’s support to mitigate the damage caused by the earthquake and rebuild after the disaster in a letter he wrote to his Croatian counterpart Andrej Plenkovic on Tuesday afternoon, announced Bertalan Havasi, head of the Prime Minister’s Press Office.

I was deeply surprised to learn of the devastating earthquake in the heart of Croatia, near Petrinja and Sisak.

– wrote the Hungarian Prime Minister, who assured his Croatian partner that the Hungarian people will support Croatia in these difficult days. “We pray for the families of the victims and wish the injured a speedy recovery,” concluded Orbán.

Bertalan Havasi told the MTI: the prime minister asked the Hungarian authorities for an immediate report on the effects of the earthquake in Hungary and the possible damage.

A 6.3 magnitude earthquake struck central Croatia on Tuesday afternoon. The epicenter of the earthquake was 46 kilometers from Zagreb, near Petrinja in central Croatia, with severe damage to the city and the collapse of several buildings.

So far, there have been seven deaths in the disaster, and Jutarnij.hr reported that four people were killed in Glina, including a father and son, whose house collapsed, as well as a man aged 20 and over. In addition to them, two more victims have been reported, so far it is known that one of them lost his life in Žažina.
