After announcing the tightening of protection against the coronavirus epidemic, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán convened the county government commissioners, who are also the heads of the local defense committees, at the Carmelite monastery on Tuesday evening, Bertalan Havasi, the prime minister’s press chief, reported to the MTI.

The meeting was attended by defense leaders from all Hungarian counties, and Orbán briefed them on the government’s decisions on Tuesday, which introduced further tougher defense against the epidemic.

Viktor Orbán drew the attention of government officials to the difficult months ahead and the measures being taken now must be implemented as rigorously as possible in all counties and restrictions must be consistently adhered to.
