Coronavirus: the second wave, the second closure

Later than expected by many, but in mid-November, the Hungarian government also decided to try to curb the second wave of the coronavirus epidemic by introducing restrictions. At the time of the decision, 5,000 new infections a day had been identified and the number of deaths from the virus mostly ranged from 50 to 100 in 24 hours. The first step is a partial closure, but how effective it is is questionable. Follow our news!

Registration for coronavirus vaccination has started: On Monday, Csaba Dömötör, Secretary of State for the Prime Minister’s Office, announced that everyone can report their vaccination request on the website vakcinainfo.gov.hu.

Visitors to the site are greeted by an interface where, in addition to providing basic information (name, address, age, and TAJ number), they are also asked for their email address and phone number (which is normal, since the applicant must be notified later). After this, the acceptance of the data management information must be confirmed, and there is another rublika where permission can be given for further contact, which is until it is revoked.

However, the latter is not an option, since without it the system will not accept the registration. The data management information sheet shows that the applicant’s data is not only sent to the National Health Insurance Fund Administrator (NEAK):

The registrant must consent to be contacted by the Prime Minister’s Office, for example, for inquiries and information.

The data is managed by IdomSoft Zrt., Which also operates the national electoral system.

The consent given for such processing of contact data can also be revoked by contacting the Prime Minister’s Office, write the data management information. [email protected] or by contacting Péter Kovács, Data Protection Officer, at the Prime Minister’s Office, 1357 Budapest, Pf.
