Those who show mild symptoms can be quarantined at home.

coronavirus pandemic

The number of people infected with the coronavirus in the world already exceeds three million, more than two hundred thousand have lost their lives to the disease and the economic impact of the epidemic is invaluable. We try to inform our readers about everything, stay tuned, read our series of articles.

Returning to normal order in the early phase of the coronavirus epidemic, new patients with severe coronavirus will be transported to two prominent hospitals in Budapest, it was announced on koronavirus.gov.hu on Monday night.

According to a statement on the government website, on Monday, the national medical director Cecília Müller sent information to all hospitals and the National Ambulance Service at this stage of the epidemic about information on the hospital referral system for people infected with coronavirus. for uniform implementation.

In view of the gradual decline in the number of confirmed coronavirus infections and the number of people requiring hospital care, the standard referral procedure in the early phase of the epidemic, to alleviate hospitals and gradually restore hospital care, will return to the two priority hospitals, St. László and Temprano Hospital: new patients with coronavirus with serious conditions are being transported.

The change in reference order was made possible by the fact that the infection remained low as a result of restrictive government measures, they wrote.

They emphasized that the goal of the decision was to provide care to coronavirus patients in as few places as possible, “so that capabilities released in other hospitals allow postponed examinations and interventions due to the epidemic to begin as soon as possible.” . By alleviating hospitals, the number of healthcare workers caring for coronavirus patients will decrease, and they may gradually make room for resumption of planned and elective hospital interventions and rehabilitation, the statement read.

It was recalled that even at the beginning of the epidemic, the Central Hospital for Southern Plagues (Hospital Szent László) and the National Institute of Pulmonology Korányi were the first to treat patients with coronavirus, and then several hospitals across the country joined to care as the number of diseases increases.

There are currently 35 hospitals treating coronavirus patients across the country.

According to the referral system, which is now in force, newly confirmed patients, who until now have been isolated in their homes and whose condition at home is so critical that they require hospital treatment and are transportable, are transferred to the Pest Central Hospital. del Sur (Szent László Hospital) and the National Institute of Pulmonology Korányi. . This was also the case at the beginning of the epidemic, they added, adding on a second line: to hospitals in Kiskunhalas, Miskolc, Szekszárd and Ajka, or if their capacities were full, they could be transported to other hospitals with territorial competence.

It was also noted that in the event that a patient with confirmed coronavirus in a hospital develops a serious condition, the patient may still be transported, and the hospital considers it appropriate in the patient’s interest to continue treatment in previous priority hospitals, the patient can request transit.

Before transferring, hospitals should strictly consult the two metropolitan institutions by phone. If the hospital does not consider it justified and wishes to continue treatment on the spot, of course, the patient does not have to be transported to either of the two priority hospitals in Budapest.

Patients with mild symptoms do not yet need to be transported to the hospital, they can remain in home quarantine, they wrote at koronavirus.gov.hu.
