According to the head of the settlement, it is a pity that the prime minister was not received by anyone from the representative body.

Viktor Orbán celebrated the 10th anniversary of the free pálinka production on Sunday together with the Pannónia Pálinka Cultural Association at the Polai de Szegárd Hajdú winery in Becsehely, but the mayor did not inform anyone that the prime minister would arrive at the settlement.

On the municipality’s Facebook page, Mayor Géza Németh wrote that in addition to the prime minister’s visit being a great pleasure, it was a shame that no one representing the settlement leadership could greet the guests at the event.

“The organizers did not inform us about the programs, the invited guests. None of the invitations left on my desk indicated this,” wrote Németh.

According to the entry, the mayor and the owner of the winery do not have a very good relationship, this may be in the background.

At the ceremony, Viktor Orbán praised the free making of brandy. He said, among other things, that “while the country is undergoing a major transformation, the idea of lasting things is not only born in Budapest.”

The Prime Minister’s Press Office published several photos of the Becsehely party and a video appeared on Orbán’s Facebook page.
