Half a year after the spring outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, the second wave of the pandemic has arrived. The radical increase in the number of infected is forcing more and more countries to re-impose restrictions, despite the fact that the world economy has not even recovered from the effects of the spring outbreak. High blood pressure alone is a risk factor for coronavirus infection, the M1 national medical director warned. Cecília Müller added,

the course of the disease is much more severe in people with high blood pressure.

A look at the data for the last 50 deaths revealed that 32 out of 50 people had high blood pressure among their chronic illnesses. Some have no one else.

Müller also spoke about the number of deaths from coronavirus in Hungary that is increasing day by day. On Friday, a significant proportion of the deceased suffered from some type of chronic illness. The oldest deceased was 94 years old and the youngest 55 years old. According to the information, the second wave continues to infect the largest number of young people.

More than 1,000 new confirmed home infections (with 11,000 samples) were found and 14 people died, according to data released Saturday.
