The Secretary General of the National Trade Association hopes the tightening will pay more attention to defense consumers.

The amount of a fine of five thousand guilders imposed on customers may increase in case of violation of the mandatory wearing of masks in the store, Magyar Nemzet writes in his Tuesday edition.

György Vámos, general secretary of the National Trade Association, told the newspaper that he had taken an initiative in the government to increase the lower limit of fines for offenses currently committed in stores in order to extend the obligation to wear masks and toughen controls.

He called on the government’s intention to tighten controls on the use of completely correct and compatible masks, since the epidemiological situation has now become dramatic. According to György Vámos, it is of fundamental interest to traders that the weekend season in stores, which intensifies from week to week, takes place in safe conditions, regardless of size, but it is not possible to configure a separate inspector for each customer, so it will receive more attention from the buyer.

The Secretary-General emphasized that the objective was not to impose a fine, therefore it was not proposed that money be paid even in the slightest cases, but that the basic amount should be increased considerably in situations that had already resulted in a penalty fee.

It already has a deterrent effect if uniformed policemen appear on the scene. “

– György Vámos remarked, adding that they support the union’s suggestion that chains ensure the performance of mandatory inspection tasks with greater force during Christmas shopping.
