A story appeared on the Facebook page of the outgoing indexers called Telex, according to which the Hungarian correspondent for Die Welt and Die Presse will head the Mathias Corvinus Collegium Media School.

Starting in September, Boris Kalnoky will lead the Media School of the Mathias Corvinus Collegium (MCC), learned Telex (the new tab for outgoing indexers). The information was confirmed by the MCC Communications Directorate, adding that Kalnoky will teach journalism classes at the institution. In addition to the Balkans and the Middle East, Kalnoky has been covering Hungary for decades for the German conservative Die Welt and the Austrian Die Presse. Kalnoky has not yet been contacted.

Recently, the government painstakingly listed the Mathias Corvinus Collegium and the Tihany Foundation that maintains it. The foundation, chaired by the rector of Budapest Corvinus University, András Lánczi, but not affiliated with the university, also owned the former Workers’ Guard building on Gellert Hill, which is adjacent to the building currently used by the MCC and that until now has housed the Balassi Institute of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. . In addition, the foundation, which was established only a quarter-century and a half ago, also received the 10 to 10 percent stake in Mol and Richter, which is worth more than 290 billion HUF today.
