In three days, four health workers lost their lives in the epidemic.

Coronavirus: the second wave, the second closure

Later than expected by many, but in mid-November, the Hungarian government also decided to try to curb the second wave of the coronavirus epidemic by introducing restrictions. At the time of the decision, 5,000 new infections had been identified per day and the number of deaths from the virus mostly ranged from 50 to 100 in 24 hours. The first step is a partial closure, but how effective it is is questionable. Follow our news!

A 55-year-old ambulance driver died Thursday morning, the Hungarian Ambulance Workers Association said on Facebook. He worked at the Jászboldogháza de János M.

A rescue manager from Salgótarján died of the disease on Wednesday and a GP and a head nurse died Tuesday.

The Hungarian Medical Chamber (MOK) maintains an anonymous list of the health victims of the epidemic on its website. Twenty deaths are currently listed, but the 55-year-old ambulance driver’s monogram is not yet on the site.

There are those who hope that the grandmother who has been hospitalized will receive their messages, but there are also those who were able to speak with their mother for the last time when they took her to the ambulance. Keeping in touch with patients who have been hospitalized is not easy, and not only because of the ban on visits. Already overburdened hospital staff places an additional burden on many family members who call on the phone, and although family members may die at the request of the chief physician, it is often too late.
