Minister Gergely Gulyás, who chairs the Prime Minister’s Office, presented state awards on behalf of the President of the Republic on Friday in Budapest.

The Knight’s Cross of the Hungarian Order of Merit (civic section) was awarded, among others, to László Csizmadia, president of the founding council of the Civil Cohesion Public Benefit Foundation, founder of the Civil Cooperation Council, former president of the Council of the National Cooperation Fund and essentially Békem

Furthermore, Lóránt Lajos Bálint, President of the Hungarian Scout Association of Romania, received the same award; Dezső Bodor, President of the Csongrád-Csanád County Chamber of Engineers, Retired Technical Director of Szegedi Vízmű Zrt .; István Földesi, Chief County Architect of the Békés County Local Government Office; Architect János Gatter, project engineer for Steindl Imre Program Nonprofit Zrt .; Ms György Halász, former head of department at the University of Debrecen and Szent István University, founding member of the Hungarian Chamber of Engineers; Tamás Horovitz, president of the Debrecen Jewish Community; Ferenc Hörcher, professor, research professor, Institute of State and Political Theory, National University of Public Administration, research professor; Gyula Hutiray, former Deputy Mayor of Budapest, II. and VII. former deputy mayor of the district; Gábor Jablonkay mechanical engineer, environmental engineer; Count László Károlyi de Nagykárolyi, founder and member of the board of the Fóti Károlyiak Foundation; Miklós Barna Mártonffy, chief architect of Marius Stúdió Kft., Former chief architect of Budapest; György Mészáros, Paks II. Zrt. Chairman of the Board, Associate Professor at Semmelweis University; Ernő Petz, Honorary Professor at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, former CEO of Paks Nuclear Power Plant Rt. László Szilvágyi, Chairman of the Geotechnical Section of the Hungarian Chamber of Engineers, Managing Director of Geoplan Kft .; Balázs Tombor, co-founder of Mathias Corvinus Collegium; Pál Zarándy, member of the board of the Hungarian Chamber of Engineers, former president of the Hungarian Energy Society.

The Middle Cross of the Hungarian Order of Merit (civic section) received an award in recognition of the work of historian and writer Michael O’Sullivan in investigating and disseminating events in Hungarian history, especially Trianon and the history of Hungary between and after the two world wars.

The Official Cross of the Hungarian Order of Merit (civic section) was awarded to Ferenc Gazdag, Doctor of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, Emeritus Professor of the National University of Public Administration; Béla Locsmándi, lawyer at Vajda és Társa Law Office, former Secretary of State for Administration and Undersecretary of State; Emil Toldy-Schedel, cardiologist, general director of the St. Francis Hospital in Budapest; László Windisch, former Vice President of the National Bank of Hungary.

Imre Panyik, owner of IP Design Kft. And Toldi Panzió és Étterem, received the Golden Cross of Merit of Hungary (civic section); Gyula Pásztor, co-founder of the Centro Cívico Hall; Ms. Lászlóné Márkos Lukebcia Szebényi, founding president of the Hungarian Castles and Mansions Association.

Ildikó Halászné Kóródi, Retired Department Head of the Heves County Government Office, received the Hungarian Silver Cross of Merit (civic section); Mária Orosz Valéria, Head of the Department of Consumer Protection of the Tolna County Government Office; Sándor Tószegi, Head of the Lenti District Office of the Zala County Government Office, District Chief Veterinarian.

Lenke Tóth, the chief county patron of the Zala County Government Office, received the Hungarian Bronze Cross of Merit (civic section).
