Half a year after the spring outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, the second wave of the pandemic has arrived. The radical increase in the number of infected is forcing more and more countries to re-impose restrictions, despite the fact that the world economy has not even recovered from the effects of the spring outbreak. According to data released on Wednesday, Hungary has registered 65,933 confirmed coronavirus infections, 2,291 more than the previous day.

As a result of the complications of the disease caused by the virus (Covid-19), 43 people died, bringing the number of victims of the epidemic to 1,578.

So far, 17,098 people have been declared recovered, bringing the number of active infections Tuesday to 47,257, 1,796 more than the day before.

On Tuesday, 15,596 laboratory tests were performed, a positivity rate of 14.69 percent instead of the 5 percent recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO), a total of 1,017,689 since the outbreak began.

The hospital treated 3,166 coronavirus patients on Tuesday, an increase of 275 in a single day. Of those in need of hospital care, 263 were hooked up to a ventilator, 20 more than on Monday.

The number of people in official home quarantine rose significantly, by 9,628 on Tuesday, with 36,678 people currently in action.

According to the decision of the operating tribe, there are currently 73 extraordinary breaks in kindergartens, and schools conduct disinfectant cleaning during the fall break.
