The Momentum Movement plans to launch itself on a joint opposition list in the 2022 parliamentary elections, the party chairman announced on Facebook on Sunday.

The assembly of delegates of the Momentum Movement on Sunday authorized the party’s presidency to draw up a joint list with the opposition parties in the 2022 elections, said the president, András Fekete-Győr. He also mentioned that Momentum will run for the most open and democratic preliminary elections.

The politician put it this way:

for the first time in ten years, there is a real possibility that we Hungarians will free ourselves from the corrupt eastern government of Fidesz. “

“2022 will not be a simple change of government, but a true epochal change, and our community is ready to work with the opposition parties to this end,” said the chairman of the opposition party, adding that they believe in a fair and proportionate electoral system where there are not two voters. they can choose from a wide variety, but in a diverse political space, they can put the x next to their favorite party.

They also believe that Momentum offers Hungary a new political culture, momentum, fair competition, solidarity and a positive national image. These values will be reinforced more strongly in the electoral alliance, he added.

The Momentum community is committed to ending corruption in the new age, restoring freedom of the press, creating a just electoral law, and putting real limits on the power of political leaders so that the full power of a single person and a single party about Hungary never be repeated.

“We believe that together we will replace the Viktor Orbán system, and in a year and a half a new, freer era will dawn in Hungary,” explained András Fekete-Győr in his role.

The Momentum Movement decided in March 2017 to become a party and stand in the 2018 parliamentary elections. At that time, they did not enter the Hungarian Parliament. In the 2019 European Parliament elections, 2 seats were won.
