Two companies also delivered rapid tests to Hungary that are not suitable for detecting Covid-19 infections, according to Saturday’s article in Direkt36.

coronavirus pandemic

The number of people infected with the coronavirus in the world already exceeds three million, more than two hundred thousand have lost their lives to the disease and the economic impact of the epidemic is invaluable. We try to inform our readers about everything, stay tuned, read our series of articles.

The Hungarian state has signed a cooperation agreement with a Chinese company called Hybribio Biotech, from which they purchased evidence of coronavirus in March. Since then, China has tightened its export rules, allowing this company to no longer send evidence abroad, the research site Direkt36 writes in an article published in 444.

In addition, in recent weeks, several countries have complained of receiving “poor quality” products from Chinese companies, after which the Chinese authorities amended the rules governing the export of protective equipment for protection against the coronavirus in April. At the end of April, only companies on the list of an organization called the National Administration of Medical Products (NMPA) were able to ship such devices abroad. Subsequently, this rule was relaxed: companies that were not on that list but had the necessary foreign certificates, their names were disclosed in a separate list by the Chinese authorities.

However, a company called Hybribio, from which the Hungarian state purchased evidence, is not on either list. Two other rapid tests used by Hungarian paramedics (Anhui Deep Deep Blue Medical Technology and Hangzhou Clongene Biotech tests that we wrote about in this article) are also not on the NMPA list. However, they have a CE certificate that allows them to be imported into the European Union, but according to a study 444 analyzed in late April, they are not suitable for detecting Covid-19 infections, and the online GP also issued a resolution asking the end of unreliable rapid tests.

The evidence, which came from China, was evaluated by national medical director Cecília Müller at a press conference in late March as having very different qualities. The 444 now asked operations personnel exactly how many tests had arrived in Hungary whose manufacturers would not be able to export from China in late April, and whether they were eventually used. The document also wants to know which companies have agreed to acquire the evidence since the tightening of Chinese rules, but so far have not received answers to their questions.
