Half a year after the spring outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, the second wave of the pandemic has arrived. The radical increase in the number of infected is forcing more and more countries to re-impose restrictions, despite the fact that the world economy has not even recovered from the effects of the spring outbreak. Another 989 people were diagnosed with coronavirus infection, increasing the number of infected people identified in Hungary to 48,757, reported koronavirus.gov.hu.

There were 38 deaths, mostly elderly, chronic patients, so the number of deaths increased to 1,211 and 14,637 have already been recovered.

There are 24,780 people in official home quarantine (-149), and the number of samples has increased to 910,368 (+6332) since the beginning of the first wave. The number of samples was drastically reduced. According to data released Tuesday, 3,319 fewer have been completed in the last 24 hours than the day before.

Currently, the Operational Court has ordered extraordinary breaks in 46 kindergartens and 21 schools, and digital work schedules for 153 classes and 17 entire schools due to coronavirus diseases.
