Coronavirus: the second wave, the second closure
Later than expected by many, but in mid-November, the Hungarian government also decided to try to curb the second wave of the coronavirus epidemic by introducing restrictions. The coronavirus was detected in another 609 people in the last 24 hours, increasing the number of infected people identified in Hungary to 316,669; the latest epidemiological data were provided by the operative strain.
114 patients died, bringing the number of deaths to 9,161. The number of people cured is constantly increasing, currently 134,344 people, and the number of actively infected is 3,429 less than that reported yesterday, for a total of 173,164 people.
There are currently 6,261 hospitalized coronavirus patients (which is 189 more than a day ago), 448 of whom are on respirators.
Only 4,647 tests were carried out in the last day, of which 13.1 percent were positive. According to the recommendation of the World Health Organization (WHO), we get a reliable picture of the spread of the epidemic if up to 5 percent of the tests are positive. In Hungary, since September 9, this ratio has only been reached in the two days when almost 200-200 thousand mass test tests were added at the same time.
The operating court also said that the vaccination of healthcare workers will also take place on Monday at the five designated hospital vaccination points.
