The new coronavirus infection (COVID-19) was detected in 3,292 new Hungarian citizens, increasing the number of infected people identified in Hungary to 311,554, the government information page wrote.

113 patients died, bringing the number of deaths to 8,729.

The number of recovered people is also constantly growing, currently 120,529 people, the number of actively infected people is 182,296 people. Their number dropped by 2,719 in one day. 18% of the actively infected, 20% of the dead and 21% of those recovered are from Budapest.

6,382 patients with coronavirus are treated in the hospital, 345 less than the day before. Of these, 491 are hooked up to a ventilator, meaning that the number of people using a ventilator also dropped by four in one day.

The information page also drew attention to the fact that the government has suspended the curfew for tonight, Christmas Eve, and the night of December 24 to 25, and the number of people under 14 years of age is not included in the 10-person limit for private events and family gatherings. The government has also suspended flights from Great Britain. The evening curfew will be alive on New Years Eve.
