Coronavirus: the second wave, the second closure
Later than expected by many, but in mid-November, the Hungarian government also decided to try to curb the second wave of the coronavirus epidemic by introducing restrictions. At the time of the decision, 5,000 new infections had been identified per day and the number of deaths from the virus was mostly between 50 and 100 in 24 hours. By Tuesday, the new coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) had been detected in 1,893 people in Hungary, bringing the number of identified infections to 285,763.
The death toll from the epidemic rose from 107 to 7,237, according to official figures.

If we count 73,116 samples and 1,893 new infections, the rate of positive results drops to 2.59.
According to the decision of the operational staff, there is currently an extraordinary hiatus in 124 kindergartens for one group, and in 70 kindergartens and 37 primary schools for the entire institution. Students in one or two classes in 358 elementary schools, as well as all students in 31 elementary schools, study in a digital curriculum.
