A man from Budapest was arrested by the police.

Within three hours, the 48-year-old man from Budapest, who stabbed a resident in a condo in downtown Győr several times with scissors, was arrested, according to the police website.

According to the announcement, the authority received a report on Friday afternoon that two men had been involved in a confrontation on the building’s staircase and then one of them stabbed the other.

Arriving police officers discovered that an allegedly drunk man called several apartments, promising to do knife sharpening work, upsetting residents. One of them, a 64-year-old man, asked him to leave, where they had a fight.

After the annoyance, a fight broke out between them, in which the aggressive intruder stabbed the other three times with scissors and then left.

A few hours later, the police received another report, according to which a man walks in the condominiums on Török István street in Győr and behaves violently towards residents.

Police captured the aggressive man, Jenő R., in one of the condominium apartments, according to an earlier personal description, and discovered that he had committed a stab wound downtown.

The Budapest man was arrested on suspicion of a criminal attempt at serious bodily injury and questioned as a suspect.
