Someone called out to the man for the loud music, then he drew his gun.

A man on Tram 1 waved a gas alarm pistol Monday morning, police said on their website.

According to a statement from the Budapest Police Headquarters, the 53-year-old was listening to music loudly on the tram, a passenger told him. The man then pulled the pistol out of his fanny pack, waved it, and grabbed the woman, who silently warned him. No one was injured in the incident, the man did not fire with the weapon.

The man got off the tram on Vörösvár Road. He was stopped by the police at the intersection of Vienna Road and Farkorki Road. Patrols also found the alarm weapon on the man in Budapest.

He has been investigated for armed disturbances and must be held accountable, police said in a statement.
