The girl lost consciousness and likely would have drowned had she not received immediate medical attention.

The prosecution formally charged a Kecskemét woman with mixing a sedative with her three-year-old daughter’s drink in a life-threatening bodily injury.

According to the prosecution, the woman who is raising five minor children called Kecskemét hospital several times on March 20 to say that her three-year-old daughter had a fever at home, so she would like to seek hospital care. Due to the epidemiological situation, the doctors recommended that she relieve the boy’s fever at home and speak with his GP, but the woman remained firm.

The woman then called the ambulance and the girl had a fever and fainted every half hour, so the ambulance took them to the pediatric ward of the hospital. During the treatment, the doctor on duty examined the boy, who did not have a fever, in good condition, so he was sent home.

However, the woman did not want to leave, demanding more and more aggressively that the girl be admitted to the hospital.

According to the prosecution, a woman waiting in the hospital corridor mixed 8-9 eyes of the sedative she had with the peach juice from the girl’s bottle to produce symptoms that suggest that the victim was feeling ill and was staying in the hospital. The boy also drank from the bottle and became ill, losing consciousness.

Doctors immediately began intensive care for the girl, and the girl regained consciousness after about half an hour of treatment.

The hospital notified the police and child protection of the poisoning.

The statement indicates that the girl was in a life-threatening condition at the beginning of her care and could not have drowned if she had not received professional medical help in time.

The prosecution has proposed a prison for women, a ban on public affairs and a court to rescind parental custody of the 3-year-old boy.

The guilt of the accused will be decided by the Court of Kecskemét.
